A daily routine checklist that resets every morning

Habits fail quietly. A routine you can see, tick, and reset each day makes the failure visible early enough to fix.

A daily routine works best as a short list you finish, not a long list you abandon. Six items you complete beats twenty you ignore by Wednesday.

Set a daily reminder, keep the list visible, and untick it each morning. The streak is the point, and the streak only exists if the list is somewhere you actually look.

A checklist to start from

  • Drink a glass of water
  • Make the bed
  • Move for twenty minutes
  • Plan the day's three priorities
  • Deep work block, no phone
  • Inbox to zero
  • Tidy the desk
  • Read for fifteen minutes

How to make it stick

  • Cap the list at six or seven items. A routine that cannot be finished on a bad day gets abandoned on the first bad day.
  • Write each item as an action small enough to start immediately. Move for twenty minutes works; get fit does not.
  • Turn on the daily check-in under Settings, then Notifications, and set it to the time you actually start your day.

Common questions

Does the list reset automatically each day?
Untick it yourself in one pass, which takes a couple of seconds and doubles as the moment you review the routine. Recurring reminders roll forward to the next occurrence on their own.
Can it remind me at the same time every day?
Yes. Set a daily reminder on the note, or switch on the daily check-in in Settings for a general nudge. On the free plan both fire while the app is open.
Can I track more than one routine?
Yes. A morning list and an evening list as two separate checklists works better than one long list split by headings.
