Quick notes online, saved the instant you type
A free online notepad that opens straight to the place you type. No account, no sign-up, nothing to install: write, and the note is saved in your own browser.
Start writingMost notes start as something you need out of your head in the next ten seconds: a name, a gift idea, a line from a meeting. A notes app that first asks you to sign in, choose a folder or wait for a sync has already lost it.
Quick Checklist skips all of that. Open the page, type into the box at the top, and the note is stored in your browser's own storage on this device. It is still there the next time you open the page, with or without a connection.
One notes app for everything
Ideas and drafts
Catch the thought first and tidy it up later, with bold, italics and lists when it needs them.
Meeting and class notes
Open a fresh note before the first slide and you will not miss a word.
To-dos and shopping lists
Turn a note into a checklist and tick things off as they get done.
Recipes and how-tos
Pin the one you are cooking from so it stays at the top of your notes.
Reminders
Give a note a reminder time, once or on repeat, so it comes back when it matters.
Things to look up later
Links, book titles, film recommendations: one note per list, and every note is searchable.
Why it is quicker than most notes apps
- No sign-up wall. The first thing you see is the place you type.
- It works offline. Install it from your browser and it opens like any other app, even on a plane.
- Colours, pins, labels and an archive keep a long list of notes as easy to scan as a short one.
- Your notes stay on your device, and you can export a backup from Settings at any time.
Common questions
- Do I need an account to write notes online?
- No. You can write, edit and organise notes without creating an account. An account is only needed for Premium, which syncs your notes between your own devices.
- Where are my notes saved?
- In your browser's own storage on the device you are using, as you type. On the free plan they are never uploaded anywhere. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so export a backup from Settings if a note matters to you.
- Can I use it as a notepad without internet?
- Yes. After the first visit it opens with no connection at all, and everything you write offline is saved the same way.
- Can I see my notes on my phone and my laptop?
- With Premium, yes: your notes sync to every device you sign in on. On the free plan, notes stay on the device where you wrote them.
- Is it really free?
- Yes. The free plan has no time limit and needs no card. It covers up to five active notes and checklists. Premium, at $2 a month, raises that to 100 and adds sync.
