A packing list app you will actually finish

The point of a packing list is the thing you always forget. Write it once, keep it forever, and stop rediscovering it at the airport.

Packing lists fail for a boring reason: people rewrite them from memory every trip, and memory is exactly the faulty component the list was meant to replace.

Keep one list, untick it after each trip, and it becomes more accurate every time you travel. The charger you forgot in March is still on the list in September.

A checklist to start from

  • Passport and travel documents
  • Wallet, cards, local currency
  • Phone, charger, power bank
  • Travel adapter
  • Medication and prescriptions
  • Toiletries and toothbrush
  • Underwear and socks
  • Outfits per day
  • Shoes
  • Jacket or layers
  • Headphones
  • Book or downloaded entertainment

How to make it stick

  • Split the list into what goes in the case and what stays in the day bag. The second list is the one that matters at security.
  • Pack against the list rather than reading it afterwards. Ticking as you put each thing in is what catches the gap.
  • Add the trip-specific items at the top and leave the permanent items below, so the list works for the next trip without editing.

Common questions

Can I keep separate lists for different trips?
Yes. Make one checklist per trip type, for example a weekend list and a long-haul list, and reuse whichever fits.
Does it work on a plane in flight mode?
Yes. The app is offline-first, so flight mode changes nothing about your ability to read or edit the list.
Will my list still be there next year?
As long as you do not clear your browser data, yes. Export a backup from Settings if you want to be certain, or use Premium sync.
